Here is my attempt at the Alice in Wonderland contest. I had a hard time finding someone that was capable of scanning a 12x12 page in color. I had to reformat from a pdf to a jpg so I'm hoping that everyone can really see the detail.
Some of the things on this page: The quote totally represents my child. Her world doesn't have to "make sense". The key and keyhole on the quote is from the first part of the movie where Alice is trying to fit through the little door. The rose in the bottom right hand corner is black with red glittered edges (when the cards were painting the roses red). I have also included hand-chalked images from the book. The yellow butterflies represent the "bread and butter-flies" from the original Disney movie.
I really enjoyed this project. Thank you for the inspiration!

Sketch Challenge

Here is my attempt at this week's sketch challenge. It's hard to see in the photos but all of the animals are stamped around the edge of the Cocoa Carstock in Cocoa Ink. I used an older stamp set and paper packet but I'm trying to get a scrapbooking baby shower together for a friend and thought that this page would go well in her book for 2 month baby pictures or 2 year b-day pictures. Killing 2 birds with one stone is the story of my life!

For this 12x12 layout I used:

12x12 Cocoa Cardstock, Days to Cherish B&T Duos paper (front and back), Star Spangled Blue Ink, Cocoa Ink, Cocoa Marker, Desert Sand Cardstock (ark), Dimensional Elements (chipboard) Ribbon Accents, Noah's Parade Stamp Set, CTMH Decorating Chalks, Swirl Stroke Lowercase Stamp Set, Red Grosgain Ribbon (brand unknown/Walmart), and Marcella by K #2 Chipboard.

Past Scrapbook Pages

Here are a few of my pages from past months/years.

Heart to Heart Challenge 1,2,3

Here's my attempt at the 1,2,3 Heart to Heart Challenge. After doing half of the work on my page I realized that I was supposed to use 2 PATTERNED papers. Oh well, it was much more difficult to come up with something with 2 solid papers (and I like being challenged!). I'm happy with the results.

To make this 12x12 layout, I used Close to My Heart's solid cardstock in Desert Sand and Garden Green for my two papers. I used fine green glitter on the edges of the paper roses that were made out of the same garden green cardstock. For my 3 embelishments I used 3 of the Close to My Heart neutral accent beads (rose shaped) at the bottom right corner of the page. The stamp that I used came from the Free Spirit (Close to My Heart D1217) stamp set. I used New England Ivy (CTMH) ink to stamp the image and Cocoa in to "distress" the edges of the paper.
This is the first page that I have done of my niece and I'm very happy with the way that it came out!
